Born and raised in Chennai, India, this Guhan had a modest upbringing and was the first in his family to go to college. He studied Electronics Engineering with full tuition merit scholarships and graduated at the top of his class. After graduating from IIM Calcutta with his business degree, he joined Bain & Company in 2010. At Bain, he worked on projects globally, including in India, Bangladesh, Singapore, Thailand, U.A.E., Oman, and Ghana, before moving to Bain's Los Angeles, U.S.A office in 2014. In 2015, he joined MassMutual's Corporate Strategy team and relocated to Boston. He currently leads MassMutual's Affiliated Distribution Strategy team. He holds CFP, CLU designations, and has General Securities Principal, and Investment Adviser Representative registrations.

Guhan lives in the suburbs of Boston with his husband and their pets July (dog) and Kiki (cat). He enjoys traveling, giving back to community, and hobbies such as N-scale model railroading, smart home automation projects, and keeping his technology skills up to date. He also serves as a Treasurer on the Board of West End House Girls Camp, a non-profit providing summer camp experiences for girls from all backgrounds. He has previously volunteered for organizations focused on LGBTQ, economic empowerment, and children's education causes.

Guhan's core beliefs include an attitude that 'pressure is a privilege', perseverance overcomes adversity, and unyielding standards for both professional and personal integrity. His personal experiences in defying tough odds, and embracing his identity were key to his successful career and community impact.
